Ole Miss commit Willie Gay is headed to see his No. 1 school, Michigan, this weekend.

The Michigan Wolverines will welcome a big-time prospect to campus this weekend for the Illinois game: four-star recruit Willie Gay, from Starkville, Mississippi.

Gay is currently committed to his home-state Ole Miss Rebels, but from the look of it, Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines have a legitimate shot at flipping him before the end of the 2017 recruiting cycle. Especially if this weekend’s visit goes well.

Despite being committed, Gay, who’s ranked as the nation’s No. 88 overall recruit and No. 6 outside linebacker, told Rivals.com that Michigan is his top school right now.

“Michigan is my No. 1 school right now,” Gay said. “It’s crazy right now.”

“Everything is still a go for my visit to Michigan this weekend. Man, I’m so excited. I haven’t really taken a lot of sick visits. My only cool visit was to Ole Miss.”

Michigan originally made Gay’s top five before he ultimately decided to pledge to the Rebels.
