Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M picks for the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 matchup between the Sooners and Aggies.
March 21, 2016Don’t look now but the Sweet 16 is getting a little taste of an SEC-Big 12 matchup. Buddy Hield and his Oklahoma Sooners will continue their run through the 2016 NCAA Tournament against Danuel House and the Texas A&M Aggies.
The Sooners have certainly been boomin’ in March. Oklahoma knocked out 15-seed Cal State Bakersfield, 82-68, in the first round. The second round produced another win for the Sooners as Hield dropped 36 points to send the 10-seeded VCU Rams home with an 85-81 defeat.
I’ve never seen anything like Texas A&M’s comeback over Northern Iowa. I didn’t know that was physically possible. But as amazing as it was, Oklahoma will move on because Buddy Hield is Buddy Hield.
Texas A&M has been shaky thus far in the dance, and the Aggies needed everything they had to beat Northern Iowa. They just don’t have an answer for Buddy Hield and the Sooners, who are significantly more talented. Oklahoma will hang a double-digit loss on Texas A&M to reach the Elite Eight.
Buddy Hield is a man on a mission, and Oklahoma is too good across the board for Texas A&M. The SEC loses its last remaining team in the tournament as the Sooners advance to the Elite Eight.
