Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State online live stream, TV broadcast information, and predictions. The Sooners will travel to Stillwater to take on the Cowboys on Saturday for Bedlam.
November 27, 2015The No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Stillwater to take on the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday in “The Bedlam Series.”
The Sooners (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) moved into the College Football Playoff Rankings top four after surviving a late scare from TCU last weekend. Baker Mayfield (9-20, 127 yards, 2 TD) put Oklahoma in front 23-7 before leaving the game at halftime with a head injury. With Trevor Knight in the game, the Sooners offense stalled and allowed the Frogs to creep back into the game. TCU scored a late touchdown to bring the game within a single point, but a strong stand by the Oklahoma defense on the Frogs’ two-point conversion attempt sealed the victory. Samaje Perine picked up most of the slack offensively when Mayfield exited and finished with 188 yards on 26 carries, including a 72-yard score that the Sooners desperately needed. Sterling Shepard was also sharp for Oklahoma, grabbing eight passes for 111 yards while adding a score of his own.
The good news for the Cowboys (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) is that they are still in the hunt for a conference crown and are looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Baylor that spoiled their perfect season. Oklahoma State kept it close in the first quarter, but allowed four straight scores for the Bears and couldn’t recover. The Cowboys’ signal callers, Mason Rudolph (27-50, 430 yards, 3 TD) and J.W. Walsh (2 total TD), turned in solid performances in a losing effort. The Oklahoma State receiving corps also had a big day as three Cowboy receivers finished with 80-plus yards. James Washington and Jalen McCleskey hauled in two touchdowns apiece. Even with their efforts offensively and Baylor’s third-string QB playing, Oklahoma State’s defense couldn’t get the job done. Despite forcing three Baylor turnovers, the Cowboys still gave up 700 yards of offense to the Bears.
The newest chapter of “The Bedlam Series” will be the 110th all-time. It’s a rivalry that Oklahoma has dominated, holding a 83-19-7 record, but Oklahoma State is hoping to make it two wins in a row Saturday after taking last years contest.
Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
The Oklahoma defense will bounce back. The best thing that could’ve happened for the Sooners was the problem with TCU in the second half last week. Not that the team wasn’t focused before, but with everything on the line, and with the rivalry aspect, expect a strong enough effort from the D to come up with the two stops needed to get by in a fun and wild shootout.
