The No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners will head to Baton Rouge, La. to take on the LSU Tigers on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

The Sooners (17-2, 6-2 Big 12) have bounced back nicely from their Jan. 18 loss to Iowa State with wins over the Baylor Bears and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Last time out, Texas Tech held its own early on, but a 14-4 run by Oklahoma gave the Red Raiders some separation on their way to a 49-39 halftime lead. The Sooners kept their foot on the pedal, never letting their lead dip below 10 and earned the easy win. Buddy Hield continued to play at a high level with 30 points on 9-of-12 shooting. The performance was Hield’s seventh 30-point game of the season, the most 30-point games by a Sooner in a season since Jeff Webster in the 1993-94 season (10).

The Tigers (13-7, 6-2 SEC) have hit their stride recently having picked up an 89-85 nail-biting win over Georgia Tuesday night. LSU had a 10-point lead over the Bulldogs with 42 seconds left in regulation only to see it whittled down to a one-point lead 24 seconds later. After Keith Hornsby made one of two free throws, E’Torrion Wilridge missed a jumper to tie, and the Tigers held on to win. Ben Simmons had another monster game for LSU as he turned in a 22-point, 14-rebound performance, his 14th double-double of the year. Tim Quarterman also had 22 points for the Tigers with most of his damage coming from the stripe (13-for-19).

Saturday’s matchup will be the fifth between the Sooners and Tigers all-time. The winner of the game will gain control of the series, which is currently knotted at two. Oklahoma took the last matchup, defeating LSU, 70-61, in the first round of the 2004 NIT.

Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Oklahoma vs. LSU online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.

No team is playing better than Oklahoma right now, but LSU has the talent to make some noise on its home floor. Look for Buddy Hield to dominate from the inside out on the offensive end en route to another 30-plus-point performance. Ben Simmons will do all he can to facilitate and support his teammates, all while getting his own, but it won’t be enough to top the Sooners.

    Game Notes

    • The Sooners have shot a combined .542 (45 for 83) from 3-point range in each of the last three games. The 45 makes are the most over a three-game span in school history.
    • A stout defensive effort is key for the Tigers as LSU is 21-0 — Under Johnny Jones when allowing fewer than 60 points.
    • Oklahoma is ranked first nationally with a .464 3-point percentage this season.
