Oklahoma football recruiting update as of October 9, 2016.

For an entire year, the Sooners will have bragging rights over their biggest rivals, the Texas Longhorns. Bob Stoops’ team took down Charlie Strong’s team, 45-40, on Saturday, and there were some important recruits on hand to watch it all go down.

Four-star prospect, K’Lavon Chaisson, whom both Oklahoma and Texas are going after, was there. He’s the No. 6 defensive end and No. 51 overall player in the 2017 class. Robert Barnes, a 4-star safety and OU commit, was also in attendance.

Five-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, who seems to be favoring the Sooners, took his official visit to Norman on Sept. 17, but his teammate, 3-star prospect Jaylen Waddle, was there for Oklahoma’s win in the Red River Rivalry. He’s the No. 53 wide receiver in the 2018 class.

There isn’t an official visitor list set for the Sooners’ game versus Kansas State this weekend, but you can circle Nov. 12 on your calendars. When Oklahoma welcomes Baylor to Norman, it will also host 5-star wide receiver Joseph Lewis and 4-star cornerback Jaylon Johnson.
