    Why You Need To Care

The Lions of SE Louisiana pushed past Northwestern State and Florida Tech for a solid 2-0 start, and now they get a chance to crank up the devastating rushing attack to try to ruin Ohio’s great start. The Bobcats go on the road over the next two weeks at Minnesota and Akron, but after doing a great job against Marshall last week, they’ve shown they might be different and might be far stronger this year.

    Why SE Louisiana Will Win

The quirky rushing attack is among the best in the FCS. There’s no passing game, and there are too many penalties, but there aren’t any big mistakes and the turnovers are kept to a minimum. The Lions are a +3 on the year in turnover margin and are great at cranking out long, grinding drives – they know how to control a game.

    Why Ohio Will Win

Ohio doesn’t make any major mistakes, either. The Bobcats are sixth in the nation in turnover margin coming up with seven takeaways – they beat Marshall on the four they were able to generate last week. Like SE Louisiana, Ohio knows how to crank out long drives, but it’s better at coming up with key third down stops.

    Player Who Matters

Ohio sophomore linebacker Quentin Poling is having a huge start to the season. He’s not big, but he’s active making 16 tackles with two sacks and two tackles for loss, starting out the year with 12 stop against Idaho. Against the SE Louisiana running game, he’ll come up with double-digit tackles and should be all over the field.

    What’s Going To Happen?

Ohio’s defense will come up with enough stops to get off the field – something SELA’s opposing defense haven’t been able to do at key points. The Bobcats keep rolling.
