James Clark has opted to transfer from Ohio State to Virginia Tech to finish his college playing career.

Ohio State wide receiver James Clark has found his new home. Clark, a graduate transfer, is moving from the Big Ten to the ACC’s Virginia Tech, according to The News-Journal.

Clark discussed his reasons for choosing the Hokies, noting how Virginia Tech uses its receivers.

“You can see the production they have out of the receivers,” Clark said. “And as a team, they went to the ACC championship last year, and they know how to get their playmakers the ball.

“Watching film and seeing all the different ways they get the ball to the receivers, it’s hard to say to (that).”

Due to NCAA graduate transfer rules, Clark will be eligible to play immediately for the Hokies.

Clark redshirted his first season in Columbus and battled multiple injuries throughout his tim with the Buckeyes. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Coming out of New Smyrna Beach High School (New Smyrna Beach, Florida), Clark was rated a 4-star prospect and ranked the No. 30 wide receiver and No. 222 overall player in the nation in 2013.
