An Ohio State football recruiting update for the week of April 8, 2016.

Have no fear, Buckeye nation. Urban Meyer’s recruiting class is still pacing the field.

Yes, Ohio State, with its 13 commits, is glowing with the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2017 cycle.

Not only is Meyer stockpiling a banner class, he’s already instilling confidence in the next wave of stars.

Shaun Wade, No. 4 cornerback, No. 43 overall recruit and second commit in the Buckeyes’ class, told Campus Insiders he likes what Ohio State has going.

“I really like the class we have. We all gonna work hard for OSU,” Wade said.

While he’s visiting UCLA and USC this weekend, Wade reaffirmed his commit to the Buckeyes is “100.”

Then there is 4-star recruit Robert Hainsey, the No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 102 overall recruit. He made his way to Columbus, Ohio for a visit in late March and told Campus Insiders the trip went well.

“I had a really good time, watched practice. I like the way they were running their practice,” Hainsey said.”

He enjoyed seeing Meyer again and had a chance to meet new offensive line coach Greg Studrawa.

While the Georgia Bulldogs are coming on strong for Hainsey and his teammates, it seems as though Ohio State is trending positively.

Here’s a look at how Ohio State’s 2017 class currently sits.
