March 5, 2017Ohio State football recruiting update as of March 5, 2017. Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes added a 4-star running back to their 2018 recruiting class.
The 2018 recruiting cycle didn’t have the Buckeyes off to the same hot start they had in the 2017 class, but they’re starting to pick up the pace now.
Last week, Ohio State added to its haul when it picked up a commitment from 4-star running back Jaelen Gill. With his pledge, the Buckeyes made their way up into the top 1o of the 2018 recruiting class rankings and currently sit at No. 8.
However, Urban Meyer’s staff also made a move toward a future recruiting class when it extended a scholarship offer to Noah Cain.
The 4-star running back is one of the more talented tailbacks in the 2019 recruiting class, and adding the IMG Academy prospect would strengthen the Buckeyes’ presence at IMG.
Ohio State also put scholarship offers on the table for 2019 athlete Isaiah Williams, from St. Louis, Missouri, and 2018 3-star defensive end Joseph Ossai, from Conroe, Texas.
Here’s how the rest of Ohio State’s 2018 recruiting class is shaping up.
