April 4, 2016Four-star running back O’Maury Samuels committed to Michigan, giving the Wolverines their 11th commit of the 2017 class.
Jim Harbaugh and his staff continued to add to their future offense over the weekend.
Four-star running back O’Maury Samuels, from Los Lunas, N.M., committed to Michigan on Sunday.
He’s the third running back added to the Wolverines’ 2017 class, joining 3-star recruits Kurt Taylor and A.J. Dillon. Samuels is also the sixth offensive commit on the offensive side of the ball for Michigan.
Samuels tweeted his decision with an edited picture of him donning maize and blue.
Samuels is a 5-foot-10, 188-pound downhill back with great vision. He shows patience, allowing his blockers to get into position before he strikes. He’s not the quickest runner, nor is he as elusive as some other running backs in the class, but Samuels is a punisher with the rock in his hands. If he can improve his footwork when breaking down defenders in the second and third levels, he can make it easier on himself to bounce out to the sideline.
Samuels is ranked as the No. 23 running back in the nation.
