Hi. My name is Jeff Bartl, and I am no fan of Notre Dame. Few things make me smile more than the Fighting Irish losing to a service academy. The Midshipmen will run for 350 yards and snap a five-game losing streak in the series as Brian Kelly begins thinking halfway through the fourth quarter about whom he’ll blame at his postgame press conference. Hint: It won’t be himself.

Navy is going to find a lot of success running the ball against the Fighting Irish, who seem to be completely lost with the way this season has gone. DeShone Kizer will do all he can to help Notre Dame pick up a win, but he’ll come up short thanks to a lack of production from those around him. Will Worth will move the ball and cross into the end zone a couple of times in a Navy win.

Dave Miller

If you like high-scoring games, you will enjoy this one. The Fighting Irish will be able to move the ball both through the air and on the ground against the Midshipmen, while Will Worth and Co. will focus on the ground. However, Worth can throw pretty well for an option quarterback, so expect a big play or two against this young ND secondary. It’s hard to imagine the Irish slowing down the Navy option attack consistently for four quarters, and an Irish turnover in the fourth quarter will help seal a Navy victory.

Navy will pound the ball down the Irish’s throat as the Notre Dame defense is the equivalent of trying to gather water with a strainer. The Irish can score as well, and DeShone Kizer will have a big day. This will be a close one. I’m taking the Irish.
