The Northern Illinois Huskies will play host to the Western Michigan Broncos for some Wednesday night MACtion between the West Division foes.

The Huskies (7-3, 5-1 MAC) have won five straight games and are looking to finish out the regular season strong. Last time out, Northern Illinois came away from Buffalo with 41-30 win over the Bulls. The Huskies took a 7-3 lead midway through the first quarter on a Ryan Graham-Kenny Golladay 15-yard touchdown connection and would lead the rest of the way. The trio of Graham (15-24, 190 yards, 2 TD, INT), Golladay (6 rec, 141 yards, 2 TD) and Joel Bouagnon (28 car, 156 yards, 2 TD) led the way for the Huskies. The defense also played big, wreaking havoc on Joe Licata, forcing him to throw three interceptions.

The Broncos (6-4, 5-1 MAC) are looking to bounce back from last week’s 41-27 loss at home to Bowling Green. Western Michigan held a 17-14 lead early in the second quarter, but a Matt Johnson touchdown pass to Teo Redding gave the Falcons the lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Despite the loss, Jamauri Bogan (22 car, 118 yards, 2 TD) and Corey Davis (13 rec, 159 yards) turned in solid offensive performances to keep the Broncos in the game. In order for Western Michigan to get back on the winning track, they’ll need Zach Terrell to step up. Although Terrell had a rushing touchdown, he was unimpressive throwing the ball, finishing with an interception and zero passing touchdowns.

Northern Illinois and Western Michigan will matchup for the 41st time on Wednesday night, with the Huskies leading the all-time series 23-17. Western Michigan will look to snap Northern Illinois’ six-game winning streak in the series.
