    Northern Illinois 57, Murray State 26 In Three Things

    1. Drew Hare threw four touchdown passes with two to Shane Wimann in the first half. The second came with 13 seconds to play from three yards out for a 20-10 lead.

    2. Murray State hung around with a Janawski Davis 34-yard touchdown in the third quarter to pull within ten, but Hare put it away with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay. Joel Bouagnon added his second touchdown run of the game for a 40-16 lead.

    3. The NIU defense got into the act with Mayomi Olootu returning an interception 42 yards for a touchdown

    – Drew Hare completed 29-of-38 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns

    – Kenny Golladay caught eight passes for 144 yards and two scores

    – Northern Illinois outgained Murray State 643 yards to 373
