Everything you need to know about the North Carolina vs. Temple online live stream and TV broadcast, as well as game notes and prediction.

The No. 1-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels are taking on the Temple Owls in the first game of the Veterans Classic.

North Carolina is coming off a 26-12 season that ended with a 79-72 loss to Wisconsin in the Sweet 16. But an issue for UNC will be replacing star point guard Marcus Paige, who is going to miss the first month of the season with a fracture in his right hand. Head coach Roy Williams will turn to Joel Berry II and Nate Britt to try and bridge the gap, but it’s never easy losing the focal point of the team.

Temple is coming off a 26-win season, too, and is without its leading scorer from last year: Will Cummings. Senior Quenton DeCosey will try and shoulder most of the load offensively for an Owls team that turned in just 65.8 points per game last season.

Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the North Carolina vs. Temple online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.

    Prediction

With the exception of one game 11 years ago, Williams and UNC just don’t lose on opening night. This will be the seventh time UNC and Temple have played and the first meeting since the 1991 NCAA Tournament. The Owls haven’t beaten the Tar Heels since 1988 when they went into Chapel Hill, NC and beat Dean Smith’s team by 17 points.
