WATCH: Nick Saban Sinks Smooth Baseline Basketball Shot During Pickup Game

Nick Saban sunk this smooth baseline basketball shot during a pickup game recently. Here's video of Saban doing his best MJ impression.

Before Nick Saban put together (arguably) the greatest head coaching career in college football history, which he isn’t even finished with yet, he was a defensive back for the Kent State Golden Flashes. He suited up for the then-Division I-A program in the early 1970s.

No, Kent State is not the likes of Alabama, but it still takes considerable talent and skill to play at the Division I-A (now FBS) level. Skill that Saban apparently still has in the hopper judging from this video of him dropping baseline buckets in a pickup basketball game.

The shot was smooth, but that fist-bump at the end is a small glimpse into why Saban is so successful on the recruiting trail. The man’s cool, even if he isn’t portrayed that way by the media.

Have to always keep the game fresh for when that two-sport athlete is looking for his college home.
