The 20 reps were a bit light, but he came up with an explosive 103” broad jump and measured well. He’s a good-sized, well-proportioned blocker.
Projection: Fifth Round
The guy got on the move. He might not be massive, but the 4.98 40 showed off the expected athleticism.
Projection: Sixth Round
Tremendously athletic for a good-sized blocker, he did a nice job with a 5.16 40. The 18 reps on the bench were way light.
Projection: Third Round
Is he an athlete for his size? He’ll have to show it off at his Pro Day. He’s a bit light and thin, and the 22 reps were okay, but he didn’t run the 40.
Projection: Third Round
Really, really nice. He was a good-looking 5.00 in the 40 with 25 reps on the bench. He was far more athletic than expected.
Projection: First Round
Considering he’s not all that bulky, he needed to be strong and explosive. The 102” broad jump wasn’t bad, the 19 reps on the bench were a bit soft.
Projection: Fourth Round
Is he a guard? Yeah, but he’s not big enough, but the 28 reps on the bench were a big positive and the 5.18 40 wasn’t all that bad. It was a positive workout.
Projection: Sixth Round
Considering he’s fighting to be a top 15 pick, it wasn’t great. The 20 reps weren’t good, but he has long arms and doesn’t have the body for the bench. The 5.23 40 was okay, not great. Overall, he wasn’t athletic enough.
Projection: Fist Round
While he’s been in a bit of a scouting freefall as a tweener, he did what he needed to do on the bench blasting away 30 reps. He’s not a great athlete, and he’s not a tackle, but he showed off his potential power as a guard.
Projection: Third Round
He didn’t do the bench, which wasn’t a plus considering strength was a concern. The 97” broad jump was hardly explosive and the 5.26 40 was pedestrian.
Projection: Free Agent
Yup. That’s what you do if you’re trying to show you belong athletically. He might be a tall, thin tackle, but he moved well with a 5.16 in the 40 and rocked with broad jump going 111”. It was what he needed to do.
Projection: Third Round
It was good enough. He’s not a left tackle, and he didn’t run that well, but the 5.23 40 was okay and everything else was decent. He didn’t boost his stock, and he might drop if he’s not seen as a guard.
Projection: Third Round
Considering his bulk and his size, he ran well – 5.27 40 – an and was athletic enough to be fine. The 24 reps on the bench were good considering his 36” arms.
Projection: Second Round
He didn’t run, and he didn’t jump out of the stadium in the broad jump, but the problem was his bench with just 20 reps. He’s a player, but it wasn’t a standout workout.
Projection: Free Agent
How was he going to move after all his injuries? He was okay, but he ran well enough in a straight line with a 5.21 40 and the 104” broad jump wasn’t bad. As his frame showed, he has to get bigger.
Projection: Free Agent
If he wanted to be a tackle, he ran like a guard and he lifted like a wide receiver. He might have long arms and isn’t built for the bench, but the 19 reps on the bench weren’t great and the 5.55 40 and 94” long jump were awful.
Projection: Fifth Round
Was he going to be strong enough? He came up with a solid 27 reps on the bench and took off for an impressive 5.22 40. He wasn’t all that quick in the cones, but he was good enough to move hip his stock.
Projection: Fifth Round
While he’s a player, he’s just not a good enough athlete. The short drills were lumbering and the 5.54 40 was way too slow. The 19 reps on the bench didn’t do much to suggest he’s a guard.
Projection: Free Agent
While he didn’t run, the 23 reps on the bench weren’t awful. He’s not a left tackle, and he needs to pack on weight, but he’ll need a strong pro day to have a shot at the second round.
Projection: Second Round
Really big and with a terrific 32 reps on the bench, he showed he’s worth a longer look as a potential guard and maybe get tried out at right guard.
Projection: Sixth Round
He’s still trying to get over an ankle injury – he didn’t run – but he lifted 23 reps on the bench. Big and with promise, he still might be a late-round flier.
Projection: Fifth Round
Really big and really long, he might have a shot at right tackle and could be kicked inside to guard. He wasn’t fast, but the 5.36 40 was okay for his size, and considering his 36” arms, the 30 reps on the bench were great.
Projection: Seventh Round
The guy’s 324 pounds and he exploded to a 112” broad jump. The 22 reps on the bench were okay, and for his size the 5.22 40 was fine, but the pop on his leap was intriguing.
Projection: Sixth Round
He’s just not an athlete. He huge with a great frame, but he was really slow, wasn’t quick in any way, and the 17 reps on the bench didn’t help. He’s either a right tackle or a very tall guard.
Projection: Sixth Round
It was the workout of tackle workouts. He might still need to add some weight and bulk, but he ripped off a 4.94 40, was extremely quick through the short drills, and he came up with a good 31 reps on the bench. He helped himself in a big way. It’s what everyone wanted to see.
Projection: Second Round
While he didn’t lift, for his size the 5.2 40 was good enough. Was he athletic? Sort of – he’s better than he looked out of the blocks. He didn’t make a statement for a franchise left tackle, but he’s quicker in game time – the pro day will be his big moment.
Projection: First Round
Considering strength is the concern, he didn’t bench – that’s a problem. The quickness was decent, and the 5.22 40 wasn’t bad, but there wasn’t anything smooth. He’s a better football player than an athlete.
Projection: Fourth Round
Is he a guard or a tackle? The 4.95 40 and quickness in the cone drills helped make him look versatile enough to be a right tackle. The 28 reps on the bench helped the idea that he could turn into a guard. It might have been a good enough workout to get him drafted.
Projection: Seventh Round
It didn’t help him. He needed to stand out in a positive way, and while he looked okay in the short drills, the 5.32 40 was slow for a tackle who’s supposed to be taken in the first 100 picks. The 22 reps on the bench were pedestrian.
Projection: Fourth Round
He didn’t lift or leap, but whatever … he was SO smooth in the field drills. He moved like an athletic tight end with no wasted motion whatsoever. He did everything needed to show what you want in a franchise left tackle.
Projection: First Overall Pick
It was good. Was it enough to get him drafted? With his versatility, maybe, with an explosive 113” broad jump and decent athleticism for his size. He looked powerful, and while the 23 reps on the bench weren’t great, they were okay.
Projection: Sixth Round
Really big with a great base, he didn’t run well and he didn’t move quickly, but he’s a good enough athlete to work at guard. He’ll be tried out at right tackle, but as Indy showed, he’ll be kicked inside.
Projection: Sixth Round
