NCAA Tournament Projections As of Feb. 14

    The latest projections...

    February 14, 2022

I want to discuss an exciting event that all college basketball fans will want to participate in.

The 2022 Select Mock Selection Committee was formed, bringing together some of the top bracketologists in the country to select the field of 68 for the NCAA Tournament. The committee will gather via Zoom the weekend before the NCAA basketball committee convenes, with the event taking place March 3-6 and concluding with a selection show late in the afternoon on Sunday, March 6.

Along with myself (serving as the committee chair), the Mock committee consists of:
    • Shelby Mast, a bracketologist for USA Today and several other outlets,
    • Bracketville’s Dave Ommen, a top-ranked bracketologist on Bracket Matrix,
    • The Bracketeer’s Rocco Miller, a top-25 bracketologist and mid-major expert,
    • Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller, a highly regarded college hoops expert and bracketologist, and
    • Heat Check’s Lukas Harkins, who will serve as an alternate committee member

The mock committee will use all of the NCAA selection committee’s rules and procedures. The entire process will be broadcast live over Zoom, and all fans will have an opportunity to view the process. Simply follow us on Twitter, @2022MockBB, and receive the link to register for the event.

And to get your palate wet for some selection action, we will be having an event this Friday at 8 p.m. EST. We will project the Top 16 reveal ahead of the NCAA committee’s reveal on Saturday. Again, just go to our Twitter and get the link to register. It will be a lot of fun and give you a prediction of what the committee will reveal.

Each week the Bracketology by TKBrackets podcast looks at the most recent bracket and highlights teams that have made moves. Each episode will also have a guest to discuss the world of college hoops. Guests will include the top bracketologists in the country, NCAA staffers who help put the bracket together, former committee members and the biggest names in college basketball. This week we spoke with Dave Ommen of Bracketville.
