Texas A&M Needs To Win A Big Game

Every other non-Saban SEC head coach seems to be on a hot seat, but Kevin Sumlin has been able to avoid getting hit by too much criticism even though his teams have been underwhelming over the last two years. Closing out with mediocre wins over South Carolina, Western Carolina and Vanderbilt to ease the pain of losses to all the good teams over the second half of the season. While a bowl win isn’t an SEC championship, it would allow everyone to relax a bit. This is a tremendously talented team, but it’s young and needs the work. It needs the win, too.

With glaring issues on offense, Louisville regressed in its second season in the ACC

In Bobby Petrino’s long and successful coaching career, this had to be among his most frustrating as he dealt with youth behind center and a sieve of an O-line. The offense didn’t locate a pulse until November, but by then the vaunted defense was running out of gas. In the end, it wound up being a mediocre overall season in Louisville. While the Cards were unable to defeat the better teams on the schedule, there were enough matchups with the likes of Wake Forest, Boston College and Syracuse to qualify for a sixth bowl game in a row.
