Wyoming at Appalachian State

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Kidd Brewer Stadium

The Mountaineers have been moving the ball with a balanced offense between quarterback Taylor Lamb and running back Marcus Cox, while the defense has pitched two shutouts. Wyoming will depend on quarterback Cameron Coffman and running backs Brian Hill and Shaun Wick to keep up on the scoreboard, but the task will be too tall.

Air Force at Navy

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

A battle of service academies takes place in Annapolis. Midshipmen quarterback Keenan Reynolds looks to continue his good start to the season, rushing for nine touchdowns in just three games. Air Force brings in a defense that is capable of stopping the Navy ground game, giving up only three yards per carry. The Midshipmen win a close one.

San Jose State at Auburn

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 4:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Jordan-Hare Stadium

Auburn will need to figure out things in a hurry if the Tigers hope to stop the losing streak. Sure, it’s San Jose State, but the Spartans can play some ball. It’s going to be a close one on the Plains.

Colorado State at Utah State

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Romney Stadium

Rams quarterback Nick Stevens has the advantage of throwing to All-American wide receiver Rashard Higgins, one of the best players in college football. They will face an Aggies defense that is stout, giving up only 4.7 yards per play. Utah State edges out Colorado State.

UNLV at Nevada

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Mackay Stadium

A battle of top 40 rushing attacks takes place in Reno as the Rebels and Wolf Pack square off for the Fremont Cannon. Nevada’s running game will be just a little bit better this weekend.

New Mexico State at New Mexico

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 8:00 p.m. ET

Venue: University Stadium

New Mexico State running back Larry Rose is the stud for the Aggies offense, but quarterback Tyler Rogers has the ability to stretch the field with receivers Teldrick Morgan and Tyrian Taylor. They won’t be enough to overcome New Mexico’s ability to strike on big plays.

Hawaii at Boise State

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 10:15 p.m. ET

Venue: Albertsons Stadium

Boise State’s offense picked up after quarterback Brett Rypien took over against Idaho State. The offense along with the stout Broncos defense will cause problems for the Rainbow Warriors.

Fresno State at San Diego State

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff: 10:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Qualcomm Stadium

Bulldogs running back Marteze Waller is a stud, but the defense will have to pick it up after giving up an average of 45 points over the last three games. The Aztecs will look to take advantage of the Fresno defense, which they will. San Diego State by double digits.
