    1. Minnesota survived on a three-yard Shannon Brooks touchdown run with 30 seconds to play to avoid the upset. The Gopher defense held on late, down one and keeping Ohio out of the end zone forcing a 41-yard field goal to keep the game alive. The O went 78 yards in 11 plays to pull it out.

    2. In the see-saw game, Derrius Vick threw two touchdown passes in the first half, and A.J. Ouellette ran for an 11-yard touchdown in the third for the Bobcats.

    3. Mitch Leidner ran for a one-yard score and Shannon Brooks ran for a 40-yard touchdown to keep pace. Ryan Santoso hit field goals from 49 and 24 yards out in the second half.

    Minnesota

    – Mitch Leidner completed 22-of-32 passes for 264 yards, and ran eight times for 22 yards and a score.

    – Rodney Smith ran 16 times for 94 yards, and Shannon Brooks ran ten times for 82 yards and two scores.

    – Derrius Vick completed 17-of-27 passes for 194 yards and two scores, and ran nine times for 16 yards.

    – Daz’mond Patterson ran 13 times for 70 yards.

    – Penalties: Ohio 9 for 51 yards – Minnesota 4 for 31 yards.
