    Minnesota 23, Colorado State 20 (in 0T) In Three Things

    1. In a fantastic ending, Minnesota appeared to have the game won, going up 20-17 on a 22-yard Mitch Leidner strike to K.J. Maye with 55 seconds to play. But Colorado State roared back, setting up Wyatt Bryan for a 37-yard field goal to force overtime. In the extra frame, Colorado State RB Dalyn Dawkins fumbled after getting popped by Scott Ekpe, and the Gophers took advantage with an 18-yard Ryan Santoso field goal for the win.

    2. The Gopher offense stumbled early. Santoso hit field goals from 35 and 50 yards in the second quarter, and Leidner found Drew Wolitarsky for a 38-yard touchdown pass for a 13-7 lead in the third.

    3. Colorado State started off the scoring with a 17-yard Dawkins touchdown run, and took the lead in the fourth on a 49-yard Joe Hansley scoring play.

    Minnesota

    – Mitch Leidner completed 23-of-45 passes for 233 yards and two scores, and he ran 11 times for 47 yards

    – Rodney Smith led the Gophers with 108 yards on 21 carries

    – Drew Wolitarsky caught nine passes for 115 yards and a score

    Colorado State

    – Star WR Rashard Higgins didn’t play – he sat out with a hurt ankle

    – Coleman Key completed 8-of-13 passes for 91 yards and a score, and Nick Stevens completed 8-of-19 passes for 51 yards and two interceptions

    – Dalyn Dawkins ran 19 times for 92 yards and a score, and caught four passes for 18 yards
