Michigan State vs. Michigan online live stream, TV broadcast information, and predictions. Can the Spartans survive in the Big House and keep CFP hopes alive?
October 16, 2015
No. 7 Michigan State will travel to the Big House to take on in-state rival No. 12 Michigan Saturday in a 3:30 ET game in Ann Arbor.
The Spartans (6-0) have had some close calls against Big Ten foes in the last few weeks, the latest being a 31-24 nail-biter at Rutgers last time out. QB Connor Cook passed for a season high 357 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, while RB L.J. Cook added two scores on the ground, including the go-ahead TD late. Michigan State has now won 19 of its last 20 games against Big Ten opponents, which equals the best 20-game stretch against Big Ten opponents in school history (19-1 from Oct. 24, 1964 to Oct. 14, 1967).
Since dropping the season opener to Utah, the Wolverines have won five straight including last week’s 38-0 embarrassment of Northwestern. Jehu Chesson returned the opening kick 96 yards for a touchdown and Michigan never looked back. QB Jake Rudock, RB Derrick Green and RB Drake Johnson all had rushing scores to run up the score and bring the Wildcats back to earth. While the offense performed admirably, the defense has been a force. Michigan has not allowed a point in 41 straight defensive possessions and has shutout its last three opponents.
Michigan State and Michigan will meet for the 108th time on Saturday as the two programs set to battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy. Michigan leads the all-time series 68-34-5, but the recent success hasn’t been there as the Spartans have won six of the last seven meetings.
Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Michigan State vs. Michigan online live stream options, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
A few weeks ago, Georgia was the IT team about to take its season off to a whole other level. Alabama was in trouble, playing poorly against Ole Miss and ready to take a step back overall as the dynasty was about to show just how far it faded. Instead, the Crimson Tide came into Athens fully focused and showed why it was considered such a big deal in the first place. Michigan State isn’t as Alabama’s level, but it’s about to do the same thing. Connor Cook will out play Jake Rudock. It’ll be that simple.
