Report: Michigan OC Tim Drevno Receives 5-Year Contract Extension
Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno has reportedly been given a 5-year contract extension and significant bump in pay. The Wolverines have increased their points per game in two seasons under Drevno's watch.

The Michigan Wolverines have reportedly extended offensive coordinator Tim Drevno a contract extension worth $1 million per year.
Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno has earned a nice raise. On Tuesday evening, Bruce Feldman with FOX Sports reported that Michigan gave Drevno a 5-year contract extension worth $1 million per year.
Giving context to the pay raise, in USA TODAY’s salary index, Drevno would earn more than 47 of the 119 FBS head coaches listed from this past season. His salary increase comes on the heels of LSU bumping defensive coordinator Dave Arranda, the nation’s highest paid assistant, to $1.3 million per year. The move is also in stark contrast to the goings-on with Michigan’s chief rival, Ohio State, who saw offensive coordinator Tim Beck pack his bags for Austin.
During Drevno’s two years as Michigan’s offensive coordinator, the Wolverines have increased their scoring by an average of 9.7 points per game. Michigan fielded the nation’s No. 11 scoring offense this past season, the top scoring offense in the Big Ten, the conference’s No. 2 rushing offense and was also the Big Ten’s fourth-ranked program in terms of total yards.
