Michigan football hired Devin Bush Sr., the former Florida State Seminole and father of new signee Devin Bush Jr., to the Wolverines staff.
February 18, 2016If you’re not moving forward, you’re basically heading backwards. At least that seems to be the mindset Jim Harbaugh has in life.
The Wolverines head coach has been making power moves as of late, and he may be putting the program in position to strong-arm the rest of college football.
A 10-3 record and 41-7 victory over Florida in the Citrus Bowl was all well and good, but the Michigan man has his eyes set on national titles.
He’s been aligning a big run in the near future by landing the nation’s No. 6 recruiting class in 2016 and picking up a commitment from 2017 4-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey, the No. 39 recruit in the class and brother of star Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey.
One of the big commitments Harbaugh landed in that 2016 recruiting haul, though, was 3-star linebacker Devin Bush Jr., whose father, Devin Bush Sr., was a star safety for the Florida State Seminoles and former first-round draft pick.
It looks like Bush Sr. will have a chance to do more than watch his son play college football. Michigan hired him as a defensive analyst on Harbaugh’s staff, according to 247 Sports’ Ryan Bartow.
Bush Sr. was a part of Florida State’s national championship team in 1993 and also won a Super Bowl with the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.
Talk about bringing a winning mentality and family atmosphere to Ann Arbor, Mich.
