Everything you need to know about the Miami vs. Washington State Sun Bowl live stream, TV broadcast and prediction.

The Miami Hurricanes will battle the Washington State Cougars in El Paso on Dec. 26 for the Hyundai Sun Bowl.

The Hurricanes (8-4, 5-3 ACC) are making their third straight bowl appearance, which is surprising to some given the tumultuous 2015 season the team had. Even with their head coach fired midseason, Miami came away with a successful season that ended with two straight wins, including a 29-24 victory over Pittsburgh last time out. The Hurricanes got out to a quick 20-0 lead and managed to stave off a late rally by the Panthers to secure the victory. Brad Kaaya was solid for Miami as he led the offense with 261 yards passing with a touchdown through the air and on the ground. Miami did a nice job taking care of the ball, while its defense turned Pitt over twice including a fumble on the last play of the game. The Hurricanes have had a rough go of it having lost their last five bowl games. Their last postseason win was 21-20 win over the Nevada Wolf Pack in the MPC Computers Bowl in 2006.

The Cougars (8-4, 6-3 Pac-12) will be participating in their 12th bowl game in program history and second under Mike Leach. Washington State finished well down the stretch winning three of its last four regular season games. Last time out, however, the Cougars lost big to in-state rival Washington, 45-10, in Seattle. WSU got on the board first with a field goal, but saw Washington score 24 straight points before the Cougars found the end zone. The Huskies would score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to run away with the game. It was an extremely sloppy outing by the Cougars, who committed seven turnovers (most since 2009 vs. Hawaii) in the game that included a pick six and a fumble return for a TD. Peyton Bender stepped in for the injured Luke Falk and was relied upon heavily as he threw 58 passes for 288 yards with a touchdown, but his inexperience showed at time as both of his interceptions were returned for touchdowns. Washington State is searching for its first bowl win since 2003, when it knocked off the Texas Longhorns, 28-20, in the Holiday Bowl.

The Sun Bowl will mark the first-ever meeting between Miami and Washington State.

Below is the Sun Bowl live stream and TV broadcast information, as well as the game prediction.

Falk and Kaaya will go toe-to-toe in an entertaining battle of rising underclassmen hurlers. The former, though, will enjoy the bigger day, because the latter will be under pressure all afternoon. Grinch’s kids will play with a sense of purpose, creating turnovers and consistently forcing Kaaya to throw with Cougars bearing down on him. The Canes will fall a little short in a high-scoring game, but better days are ahead now that Richt is officially on the clock.
