The Miami Hurricanes are reportedly pursuing former Florida Gators cornerback J.C. Jackson.

    February 17, 2016

The Miami Hurricanes are reportedly considering adding another highly-touted former Florida Gator to their roster. Last year it was Gerald Willis III, and now, according to the Miami Herald, Mark Richt plans to pursue J.C. Jackson, who is currently enrolled at Riverside Community College.

Jackson, a 4-star recruit and the nation’s No. 14 cornerback in 2014, was dismissed from Florida after he was arrested in the spring of 2015. He was eventually found not guilty on four armed robbery charges.

The Immokalee, Fla. native is now looking to get his feet back under himself at the FBS level, and rival Miami could be the perfect landing spot. Cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph informed Riverside CC’s coaching staff that Jackson is on the Hurricanes’ radar.

Barring graduation, Jackson would be eligible to suit up immediately for Miami.
