The Hurricanes landed a huge piece of their 2018 recruiting class on Thursday when they landed 4-star prospect Lorenzo Lingard. He’s ranked as the No. 2 running back and the No. 14 overall player in the CI 25 rankings.
The Miami native wasted no time in hopping on Twitter and recruiting other players to Miami with him. He’ll likely continue to be a brand ambassador for the ‘Canes as the cycle progresses. Of course, Lingard didn’t have to work too hard to get his cousin on board. On the heels of Lingard’s decision,

The Hurricanes currently sit at No. 5 in the 2018 recruiting class rankings with eight total commits. But they could be building upon that sooner rather than later. They’re trending upward for 4-star wide receiver Mark Pope, and it appears Miami will be the team to beat for his commitment.
