The men’s basketball Week 4 AP Top 25 rankings have been released. Baylor has jumped into the Top 10 after three big-time wins to start the season.

Three newcomers highlight the Week 4 AP Poll as Butler, South Carolina and Florida find themselves among the nation’s Top 25 after being left out the previous week.

After an impressive 69-65 victory over then-No. 8 Arizona on Friday, the Butler Bulldogs leap-frogged to No. 18 in the poll.

South Carolina had one of its most memorable weeks on the hardwood in recent memory. The Gamecocks faced a tough test with consecutive games against then-No. 25 Michigan and then-No. 18 Syracuse in the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational, and Frank Martin’s squad walked away with two convincing victories under its belt. South Carolina has held teams to under 40 percent shooting in each of their six games and now sit at No. 20 in the country.

Despite a loss to then-No. 11 Gonzaga, Florida finds itself at the No. 24 spot in the poll thanks to victories over Seton Hall and Miami in the Advocare Invitational. Wins over the Pirates and Hurricanes stand out on a resume, and the Gators put up a remarkable fight against the Zags.

Oregon and Indiana fell the farthest in the Week 4 poll. The Ducks dropped from No. 13 to No. 23 after two early losses to Baylor and Georgetown. After sitting in the top 3, the Hoosiers stumbled down to No. 13 after a stunning loss to IPFW.

The Arizona Wildcats tumbled down eight spots from last week and now sit at No. 16 in the nation after the loss to Butler.

The Baylor Bears skyrocketed to No. 9 after sitting at No. 20 last week – a fair reward for Scott Drew’s program that already has wins over Oregon, Michigan State and Louisville to start the year. The Bears even received a first-place vote from the AP.
