The Kirby Smart train just keeps chugging on the tracks, picking up steam with every commit he lands.

The Bulldogs head coach added the first player to his 2018 class when 4-star offensive tackle Max Wray, from Franklin, Tenn., committed to Georgia Thursday night.

Wray also holds offers from seven other SEC schools – Kentucky, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

The decision came a week after spending time on campus in Athens, Ga. for an unofficial visit, and he chose to make it official by tweeting out a picture with his family and Smart from that visit.

Wray is a 6-foot-6, 272-pound offensive tackle with a very lean frame. His footwork is quick and decisive, and he does a good job of winning hand fights and keeping his grip on the defender’s chest plate.

He’s a smart player, and he’ll only improve as he adds weight and strength to his game.

With three offensive guards signed in the 2016 cycle and one offensive guard committed for 2017, Smart is working on rounding out the offensive line with some maulers on the ends.

Wray is the next piece of Georgia’s o-line puzzle.
