Lyndell "Mack" Wilson commits to Alabama on National Signing Day. He chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia and Auburn.
February 3, 2016The No. 2 inside linebacker in the 2016 class has officially decided on the college he’ll call home for the next several years. Lyndell “Mack” Wilson committed to Alabama on National Signing Day.
It’s a big-time commitment for the Crimson Tide to pick up the 4-star linebacker from Montgomery, Ala.
Wilson chose Alabama over Georgia and Auburn, and Nick Saban has to be chomping at the bit to team him with No. 1 ILB Ben Davis, who committed to the Crimson Tide earlier in the day. He has the tools to keep the Alabama defense playing on a championship level.
He’ll have to bulk up a little bit, but that’s to be expected when Mack Wilson gets into a collegiate strength and conditioning program — plus all that dining hall food. But like Alec Ogletree, Wilson is out to make plays from the outside linebacker position. He needs to improve his coverage skills, but the 4-star linebacker sniffs out ball carriers and loves to lower his shoulder into a big hit.
