It’ll be “a great day for LSU football” when the Tigers go out and win for their former coach while their current one takes the credit for getting them ready to play. This one has Les Miles written all over it as LSU routs Mizzou.

LSU players get up and play for Les Miles. The offense tallies, like, 250 yards total. Ed Orgeron smugly stands behind the podium, pumps his chest, says it’s a new era for Tigers football and then enjoys himself some cookies and milk.
Is it just us or did LSU Interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron sound like Cookie Monster when he was introduced today? ???????????? pic.twitter.com/3QRyZif7jb

Mr. Bass believes the Tigers will win one for the (Mad) Hatter. While I believe this to be true, how awesome would it be if they all ate a patch of grass in his honor? Etling manages the game, the LSU defense plays well, and Ed Orgeron gets his first win as the interim head coach of the Bayou Bengals — a job he’s essentially interviewing for the rest of this season.

Tigers quarterback Drew Lock has had a very strong start to the season, but he will be facing a different defensive animal this week. The Bayou Bengals will either come out angry or lackadaisical following the firing of Les Miles. Good thing for Tiger fans that interim head coach Ed Orgeron’s motor never stops running. LSU comes out with a purpose and delivers Coach O his first win as Tigers head coach.

I miss Les Miles, and any LSU fan who thinks they are going to find a better coach and person is living in a fantasy world. That said, this LSU team still has problems, and the stress and exhaustion of this week will catch up to them. They will beat Missouri, though.
