    1. Mississippi State’s Devin Bell missed a 52-yard field goal with no time left on the clock, pushing it just right to led LSU escape. The Bulldogs had their chances, scoring on a five-yard De’Runnya Wilson catch with four minutes to play to pull within two, but the two-point conversion attempt fell incomplete.

    2. Leonard Fournette did all the scoring for LSU with touchdown runs from one, 26 and 18 yards away, with the first two in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead, and the other in the third quarter for a 21-6 advantage.

    3. MSU kept stalling, settling for two Westin Graves field goals from 43 and 24 yards out before Dak Prescott got into the end zone on a one-yard run in the fourth.


    – Brandon Harris got the start completing 9-of-14 passes for 71 yards and ran five yards for 48 yards

    – Leonard Fournette ran 28 times for 159 yards and three scores.

    – LSU outgained the Bulldogs 266 rushing yards to 43

    Mississippi State

    – Dak Prescott completed 34-of-51 passes for 335 yards and a score, and ran for a touchdown. However, he finished with -19 yards

    – De’Runnya Wilson caught eight passes for 86 yards and a score, coming through big late in the game.

    – Mississippi State was hit for only five penalties, but one was a crucial delay of game flag at the end to push the final kick back.
