    Game Notes

    • In three years, Jones has won 61 games overall and 29 in the
Southeastern Conference. That’s more than any coach at LSU has

their first three years as the head coach.
    • Simmons also became the fifth top-10 recruit to have a 20-15 (points-rebounds) game in the first three games of their career joining: Michael Beasley, Kansas State, 2007-08; DeMarcus Cousins, Kentucky, 2009-10; Julius Randle, Kentucky, 2013-14; and, one of Simmons’ opponents, Henry Ellenson of Marquette, who had 21-16 in the game with Belmont. .
    • The Cougars are 5-42 all-time against schools hailing from the SEC including Alabama (0-1), Arkansas (0-1), Auburn (0-3), Georgia (0-2), Kentucky (0-2), LSU (0-1), Ole Miss (0-2), South Carolina (2-27), Tennessee (3-1), Texas A&M (0-1) and Vanderbilt (0-1). Charleston’s last two victories over an SEC opponent were both at home – a 71-65 win over Tennessee on Dec. 14, 2011, and an 82-80 overtime thriller versus South Carolina on Nov. 28, 2008 at TD Arena.
