For head coach Les Miles and the LSU Tigers, the question is always the same: will they have good enough quarterback play to reach their full potential?
While Brandon Harris returns after being the starter under center last season, he has been splitting first-team reps with Danny Etling, a Purdue transfer who was forced to sit out all of last season.
Quarterback play may be a question, but the running back situation is solid with the return of junior Leonard Fournette, one of the early Heisman favorites. Fournette will benefit from a couple of sturdy fullbacks: sophomores Bry’Kiethon Mouton and David Ducre.
New defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will have a talented group to work with, but a depleted linebacking corps will be a main focus during the spring. Donnie Alexander and Devin Voorhies will be counted on to provide leadership in the middle while Duke Riley will provide pressure from the outside.
