LSU Tigers Team Up With OneRepublic For Halftime Show

The LSU Tigers are bringing OneRepublic in for a "Super Bowl styled" halftime show during the Florida game.

    August 31, 2015

The LSU Tigers are pulling out all the stops for a couple of games this year. And by all the stops, we mean “Super Bowl styled” halftime shows.

As if Saturday in Death Valley wasn’t electric enough, LSU announced that the band OneRepublic would be performing at halftime of the Florida game.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva shared the exciting news on Monday.

“This is a unique opportunity that we are excited to bring to Tiger Stadium this fall,” said Alleva. “We continue to look for ways to enhance and compliment what is already the best atmosphere in college football and we think that these two performances will be something that our fans will enjoy.”

The second performance Alleva eludes to hasn’t been announced yet, but if the first is any indication, it the artist or game chosen won’t disappoint.

The Golden Band from Tigerland will also be part of the halftime performance.

“Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is about to get even bigger,” said Don Green, president of College Live LLC. “We are more than thrilled to bring the ultimate college football experience to an entirely new level. Envision chart-topping musical artist joining with the Golden Band from Tigerland, the parade grounds filled with interactive displays, fan experiences and more.”

LSU and Florida will square off in Baton Rouge on Saturday, October 17. Game time has not been announced yet.
