Why Louisiana Tech Will Win

UTEP lacks the defensive troops to slow down these Bulldogs, ranking 125th nationally in yards per play allowed. Recharged Louisiana Tech enjoyed its bye week last Saturday, and is averaging 40 points per game behind Kenneth Dixon’s running and the passing of Jeff Driskel.

Why UTEP Will Win

The Miners have performed well in El Paso, winning three of four, while playing distinctly tougher on defense. Meanwhile, all three of La Tech’s losses this season have come on the road, though the opponents were Western Kentucky, Kansas State and Mississippi State.

What’s Going To Happen?

Louisiana Tech is steamrolling toward its Nov. 28 showdown with Southern Miss that’ll decide the West Division champ. And the Bulldogs won’t be sidetracked by UTEP, which is incomplete and inconsistent on both sides of the ball. Tech will remain hot on offense, scoring at least 40 points in a fourth straight game.
