The Mean Green is enjoying a rare rush of confidence after winning for the first time last weekend. North Texas was able to control the line of scrimmage, getting 137 yards on the ground from QB DaMarcus Smith and 127 from RB Jeffrey Wilson.
Quality offenses have gotten no resistance from the North Texas D, which allows 44 points per game. Versatile La Tech, which has scored at least 42 points the last two games, will continue to roll behind the passing of Jeff Driskel and the running of Kenneth Dixon.
The Bulldogs are steamrolling toward a Nov. 28 showdown with Southern Miss that’ll decide the West Division. And they’re not about to be derailed by a North Texas squad that won’t make the necessary stops to keep this game competitive past the opening quarter.
Prediction: Louisiana Tech 49, North Texas 17, Line: Louisiana Tech -29, o/u: 62
