March 3, 20172019 defensive tackle Lloyd Murray has verbally committed to FSU with an announcement on Twitter while leaving his recruitment open.
At 6’2″ and 300 pounds, Lloyd Murray is already a big defensive tackle garnering interest from a lot of powerhouse programs. As a member of the 2019 class, he still has two years before he can sign with a college, but Murray has announced on Twitter a verbal commitment to Florida State.
“First off I’d like to take the time out to thank God for allowing me to play the game of football. I’d also like to thank my parents for believing in me and always by my side through everything. I also want to give a huge thanks to all of my family members, my friends, my coaches who’ve also been there since the beginning. I want to thank all the schools that have offered me to continue my education and football career. The process is still early so my recruiting will still be open to schools that are interested in me, but after talking to my parents and after alot (sic) of thoughts and prayer, I will be verbally committing to….Florida State University. #Tribe19 #GoNoles.”
Murray, who plays at Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, becomes the third player to commit to the Seminoles in the 2019 class, joining defensive ends Quashon Fuller and Mike Morris.
Texas, Oklahoma and TCU are other schools that Murray has shown interest in, with the Horned Frogs already offering a scholarship. Notre Dame and Tennessee have also offered Murray.
