Former No. 1 dual-threat quarterback Kyler Murray is on his way out of College Station. On Thursday, Murray officially decided to transfer from Texas A&M. His decision came a day after he had a meeting with head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Murray, who was just a true freshman this past season, played in eight games for the Aggies. He threw for 686 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions.

On Thursday night, Murray took to Twitter to share a message thanking everyone for their support.

To all my family, friends and fans out there, I thank you for your love and your continued support.

I will forever be grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given andrelationships I’ve made at Texas A&M University.

I wish nothing but the best to all my guys in that locker room.

For Sumlin, he now has just one quarterback on the roster with experience — JUCO transfer Jake Hubenak.

Texas A&M currently has zero QBs committed for the 2016 recruiting class. Highly-touted quarterback recruit Tate Martell is committed for the 2017 class, but he’s still at least a year out from stepping on campus.
