Kyler Murray transfer update. The Texas A&M quarterback has made the final decision to leave the Aggies.

There is some clarity in the Kyler Murray situation. Murray has officially decided to transfer from Texas A&M, according to Billy Luicci.

After missing practice on Wednesday following a meeting with head coach Kevin Sumlin, Murray was a no-show at practice on Thursday again.

His departure leaves the Aggies roster extremely thin at the quarterback position. Only JUCO transfer Jake Hubenak has experience.

Murray was a highly-decorated quarterback coming out of high school. He was the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat and was expected to do big things in College Station.

He threw for 686 yards, five touchdowns, seven interceptions and saw playing time in eight games during his freshman season.

There are currently no quarterbacks committed to Texas A&M for 2016, and 2017 No. 1 dual-threat Tate Martell is still at least a year out from stepping on campus.

Unless Texas A&M believes Hubenak can carry the team heading into next season, don’t be surprised to see Sumlin working both the recruiting trail and transfer market hard for a new quarterback.
