Four-star running back Kirby Bennett unveiled his top seven schools on Saturday night, including programs from the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC.

Bishop Gorman High School has done an incredible job of producing some of the nation’s top football prospects, and that holds true with the 2018 recruiting class.

Four-star recruit Kirby Bennett is ranked as the No. 15 running back and No. 218 overall player in the country. He holds scholarship offers from a plethora of Power Five programs, ranging across the country. However, on Saturday, Bennett decided to narrow down his list of schools to seven distinct programs.

The Las Vegas prospect included schools from the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC. In alphabetical order, they are Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA.

Bennett released a statement regarding his decision to narrow his recruitment down to those seven schools.

“First off, I want to start off by saying thank you to my beautiful mother. After 38 years of nothing but hard work and perseverance, I am glad to say you will not have to pay a dime for my college education.

Next, I want to thank every single school for the opportunity to further advance my athletic and academic endeavors. After praying on it, I would like to thank everyone that’s helped me through the process and especially every coach that has spent countless hours recruiting me as a person/player, but I would like to make it known that I will be announcing my commitment [in] December of 2017 through Bleacher Report.”

As of late, Jim Mora’s Bruins have gotten out to a lead for Bennett’s commitment.

UCLA could potentially double dip with Bishop Gorman, as the Bruins are also the current favorite to land Bennett’s teammate, 4-star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
