– In the round of 32, Kentucky will trail Purdue in the waning minutes of regulation.
– This is the year of the 12-seed once more. Three of them – Stephen F. Austin over Utah, Buffalo over West Virginia, and Wyoming over Northern Iowa – advance. Arkansas is the only 5-seed spared beating Wofford.
– Eastern Washington is this year’s Cinderella. Its best player and the nation’s leading scorer, Tyler Harvey, is set to become a household name. He may drop 40 on Georgetown. Watch.
– Wisconsin and Arizona will meet in the Elite Eight.
– It will be the best game of the entire tournament.
– Belmont is no 15 seed. It has a real, honest shot of knocking off Virginia.
– UCLA will prove to the world that it absolutely belongs in a tournament. Just not this one.
– If Texas can figure it out in the eleventh hour. The Longhorns are just as dangerous as ANYONE in the field.
– Michigan State will find itself in familiar territory once more – the Final Four. The Spartans are only as special as their PG. Cleaves, Neitzel, Lucas … and now Trice. He is that special and has COJONES.
– Jahlil Okafor’s free throw struggles will cost Duke a game and a trip to the Final Four.
– Iowa State will make it to Indy.
– Kentucky is your national champion. There’s no reason to get cute with this.
