December 8, 2016Elite outside linebacker recruit Jordan Anthony announced his commitment date on Thursday.
Outside linebacker Jordan Anthony, one of the most-gifted athletes in the 2017 recruiting class, is narrowing in on his college decision. Anthony revealed on Thursday that he will announce his commitment on December 22, two weeks to the day.
This past May, Anthony unveiled his top 10 schools, which consisted of Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and UCLA.
Popular opinion is that this is Michigan’s race to lose. Anthony received a visit from the Wolverines’ linebackers coach Chris Partridge on Tuesday of this week, and took an official visit to Ann Arbor in the beginning of October.
His most recent official visit was used to check out the Oklahoma Sooners for their regular-season finale against rival Oklahoma State.
Anthony is originally from Maryland, but is finishing out his high school career with IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He made the full-time switch to linebacker for his senior season.
He’s ranked as the No. 13 OLB and No. 185 overall prospect in the nation, and is listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds.
