Jimbo Fisher reacts to LSU questions he was asked by the media during his weekly press conference on Monday Morning.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher is preparing to face the rival Florida Gators this weekend in Gainesville, Fla. In addition to his game prep, Fisher is also having to fend off questions this week regarding a hypothetical job opening with the LSU Tigers.

After storming out to a perfect, 7-0 start, LSU has dropped three straight games, putting head coach Les Miles squarely on the hot seat — at least from the perspective of the media and the public.

Who’s the coach whose name has been thrown around as target No. 1 should Miles be fired? Fisher.

During his Monday press conference, Fisher was asked about LSU, to which he shook his head and provided the following response.

“I have no comment,” Fisher stated. “I have a policy I don’t speak about jobs. And there is no opening.”

We live in a what have you done for me lately kind of world, which Fisher called the “nature of the business” nowadays.

“Patience, there is none of that anymore,” he said.

While, as of writing this, Miles is still the man in charge at LSU, ESPN’s Joe Schad reported on Monday morning that he could be let go as early as the afternoon.

Fisher and the Seminoles travel to “The Swamp” this Saturday to take on the revitalized Gators in the annual, end-of-season rivalry game. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
