Jim McElwain Dismisses Bret Bielema In Stern Response
Jim McElwain dismissed Bret Bielema and his recruiting comments in a stern response on National Signing Day.

Jim McElwain didn’t take kindly to Bret Bielema’s comments during a signing day interview.
Bret Bielema sure stirred the pot on National Signing Day. During an interview with ESPN2, Bielema took an apparent shot at Florida and Ole Miss for their recruiting tactics.
He has since apologized, claiming his comments came across wrong, but his comments still came across.
There’s no turning back now.
Jim McElwain responded to Bielema’s comments during his signing day presser in a stern tone.
“Well, I kind of get a kick out of it a little bit, because obviously this guy doesn’t know who I am,” McElwain said. “I sure as heck don’t know who he is. I’m not even sure we really ran into him on the recruiting trail.”
“I know what I’m all about, and I know what the University of Florida is all about. I think if you were to poll anybody in college football, I think they’d know that Mac does it right. I have no idea what this guy was talking about, to be honest.”
Beliema’s comments came on the heels of McElwain and the Gators beating out the Razorbacks for the nation’s No. 2 wide receiver, Tyrie Cleveland. Florida also beat out Arkansas for JUCO cornerback Joseph Putu.
