Jim Harbaugh Climbs Tree During Recruiting Visit

Jim Harbaugh climbs tree during a recruiting visit with David Long Jr., because Jim Harbaugh is an animal on the recruiting trail.

    UPDATE – 12:30 a.m.
Ben Fidelman reports that Harbaugh was fetching a ball that got stuck in the tree, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that Harbaugh climbed a tree during a recruiting visit. The man will do whatever it takes for the team.

Jim Harbaugh is an animal. The man will do anything to win a football game, and it all starts on the recruiting trail.

If he has to help a prospect, and current Penn State commit, remove all of the Nittany Lions stuff from his wall, he’ll do it.

If he has to have a sleepover, on the floor, with a top recruit, he’ll do it.

If he has to climb trees, he’ll do that, too.

Harbaugh spent Monday night at the household of 4-star cornerback David Long Jr., where he pretty much proved he’d do anything to secure Long’s commitment, including the aforementioned tree climbing.

Long Snapchatted Harbaugh’s visit, which is probably the most entertaining thing you’ll watch this week. Harbaugh also tossed the pigskin around the street and talked about the booming business of Michigan football. Below is a recap from the night.

So, yeah, it’s Jim Harbaugh’s world, and we are all just living in it right now.

Long, who’s from Los Angeles, Calif., is ranked as the nation’s No. 8 cornerback and No. 64 overall recruit, according to 247Sports Composite. He’s considered a Michigan lean, and after seeing his Snapchat story from Monday night, it’s easy to see why.
