Jim Harbaugh, Aubrey Solomon Hit Go-Kart Track During In-Home Visit

During his in-home visit with 5-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon, Jim Harbaugh decided to take his recruiting efforts to the go-kart track.
Last year, people ranted and raved about Jim Harbaugh sleeping over at a recruit’s house or climbing a tree to retrieve a ball that was stuck. Many call them antics, but the head coach of the Wolverines calls it being himself.
And that’s all Harbaugh tried to do on his latest in-home visit with 5-star prospect Aubrey Solomon, from Leesburg, Georgia.
Solomon, a former Michigan commit and current Wolverine target, is also considering Alabama, Georgia and USC, but he recently labeled the Crimson Tide as his leader. However, it’s highly unlikely we’d see Nick Saban, Kirby Smart of Clay Helton slip on the racing gloves, strap on some goggles and hop behind the wheel of a go-kart.
Okay, so Harbaugh went without the racing gloves and the goggles, but he did join Solomon and his family at a go-kart track during their in-home visit, as reported by Scout. Defensive coordinator Don Brown and linebackers coach Chris Partridge tagged along, as the group also enjoyed some bowling. Solomon’s mother referred to it as the “best visit ever.”

Solomon is ranked as the No. 2 defensive tackle and the No. 20 overall player in the country. If Harbaugh and his staff are able to convince Solomon to rejoin the Wolverines, the future of the front seven will be brighter than ever.
Michigan currently has pledges from 4-star defensive end Luiji Vilain, 4-star outside linebacker Drew Singleton, 4-star outside linebacker Jordan Anthony, 4-star inside linebacker John Ross, 4-star defensive end Deron Irving-Bey, 4-star defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher, 4-star defensive tackle James Hudson and 4-star defensive end Donovan Jeter.
That’s not even taking into account the commitments from 3-star prospects Phil Paea (DT), Ben Mason (DE) and Kwity Paye (DE).
Solomon would be a 6-foot-3, 304-pound cherry on top of an 11-scoop sundae.
