Four-star defensive tackle Jay Tufele announces an official visit to Ohio State for the Buckeyes' rivalry game against the Michigan Wolverines.
November 10, 2016The nation’s No. 37 overall player, Jay Tufele, has announced an official visit to Ohio State.
With one official visit to Michigan in the books, four-star defensive tackle Jay Tufele now turns his attention to the Wolverines’ arch-rival, Ohio State. Tufele announced this week that he’ll be taking his second official visit to check out the Buckeyes, and he’ll be doing so when they face Michigan in The Game. He picked up an offer from Urban Meyer in March of this year.
The South Jordan, Utah prospect listed Ohio State among his top seven schools in September. In addition to the Buckeyes and Wolverines, BYU, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington made the cut.
He took unofficial visits to UCLA and USC this past March, and attended Utah’s Junior Day, but other than that has been relatively quiet on the trail. Michigan, and soon to be Ohio State, is his only visit so far this season.
“All I can say is Michigan is a really special place,” Tufele tweeted after his trip to Ann Arbor. Now, Meyer gets his chance to show him how special Ohio State is, and its during arguably college football’s biggest rivalry game and a likely top-five showdown.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 297 pounds, Tufele is the nation’s No. 37 overall player and No. 3 defensive tackle.
