Javon McKinley Commits To Notre Dame At U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Javon McKinley commits to Notre Dame at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.

    January 9, 2016

Javon McKinley announced his decision to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Four-star recruit Javon McKinley officially knows where he’ll be playing college ball. The No. 18 wide receiver and No. 106 overall recruit committed to Notre Dame during the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday.

It’s a big-time commit for the Fighting Irish to add a top playmaker like McKinley.

He’s quick, agile and has solid hands. McKinley does a good job of selling the double move and getting north to stretch the field. He’s a legitimate deep threat and can do damage in the screen game, too. He also gives head coach Brian Kelly an extra option in the return game.

Kelly will be itching to get McKinley involved in the offense. He picked Notre Dame over Oregon and Washington.

The Fighting Irish now have 22 commits in the class of 2016, and McKinley is definitely one of the more prized recruits of the bunch.
