Four-star defensive end Jarez Parks will be spending his college playing days at Alabama, committing to the Crimson Tide on National Signing Day.

Quarterbacks in the SEC West should get used to seeing Jarez Parks, as the 4-star defensive end from Sebastian, Florida has committed to play his college ball at Alabama.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Parks chose Alabama over rival Auburn, Florida, and Florida State. He’s ranked the No. 68 top overall by Scout, with a No. 7 ranking of all defensive ends in the nation.

Known for his speed, Parks will become another threat on the always-formidable defensive line, as he comes with a great ability to wrap the opponent up and make the tackle along with bring high energy at almost all moments. A true pass-rusher, he will need to work on disengaging at the line of scrimmage with his hands, while his strength will improve from being under the regime of a college strength coach.

Parks also has good ability against the run, and has some experience in coverage – a change to linebacker could be a possibility – but excels when focusing on rushing the passer. His moves at the line of scrimmage will also need some work, but not something that a college coach could not fix immediately.
